But it is still a very awkward and delicate thing to have the non-elite characters fall away in this book and have most of the significant action be taken by the royal heirs. The book, of course, is a wretched tissue of laboured plot-devices, Another part of me is holding my breath for the third book in the Acacia series, Sacred Band as well. After all, in Acacia we were shown a small part (yet a very important part) of the world David created – books 2 and 3 needed to show more of this world, and did. After that, I'm on to Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. I recently read The Sacred Band, book three in David Anthony Durham's Acacia trilogy. That is rather ridiculously rare these days. That cover looks absolutely wretched compared to the blue one. Joe, forget comparing you to Martin, Lynch is much closer if only in length of time between books. I have wildly mixed feelings about David Anthony Durham's The Sacred Band . On one hand, The Sacred Band is the end of the Acacia trilogy, which is now an epic, literally world-changing fantasy series that is complete in three volumes. I'm almost finished with The Maze Runner by James Dashner.
